Good evening Saints fans. Today was a tough day for the Junior Saints. The Sarasota Gators stopped the Saints from advancing to the Superbowl. The Junior Saints jumped out to a 6-0 lead early in the game. Booker Green went 75 yards to get the scoring going. The Gators countered on the next drive with a td run and xtra point and led 7-6. The Gators then stopped the Saints and took another td to make the score 13-6.
The first half ended with the Gators 19 Saints 12. The third quarter the Gators then took a 25-12 lead, and going into the fourth quarter the Gators led 32-12. The Saints Booker Green took another long run of 65 yards for pay dirt and the score was 32-18. The Saints fought gallantly but in the end the Gators of Sarasota took the win 38 – 12.
The junior Saints earned their way into the playoffs and represented the Saints organization very well. As an organization we are very, very proud of our junior team. They played hard and never gave up. Also #58 Fi who suffered a hard hit in the third quarter is OK and at home. Lets remember him in our prayers for a very speedy recovery.
a BIG SHOUT OUT to the Junior coaching staff. Coach Young and his staff prepared the juniors well to get to the Championship game. Coaches you guys are great. Saints Juniors are the Sunshine Conference Champions!!! See all of you at the Banquet.
